If you follow our newsletter, you may have seen our last post about the conflict along the Cambodia–Thailand border. Since then, both countries have agreed to a ceasefire, at least that is what was decided. However, the situation remains uncertain in some areas.
Many of our people are still fearful and worried about whether they can safely return home and reunite with their families. Even though both governments have officially declared a ceasefire, there are still bad actors, particularly some social media influencers, who continue to spread fake news, blame the other side, and push false narratives just for likes and views.
We, the people of Cambodia, want peace for both sides so we can live safely and in harmony while protecting our world heritage.
To those observing from afar, please make sure to follow updates only from credible outlets and do your research before forming an opinion.
