You can think of this like Pub Street in Siem Reap, but right here in Phnom Penh. Walk Street is one of the city’s newest attractions, and it’s been a hit since it started around 2024.
It’s tucked along the riverside, so if you’ve been to the Royal Palace or the National Museum, you may have already seen a part of it without realizing. Now it’s turned into a spot that draws big local crowds and gets featured in newspapers and magazines. We love hanging out here too.
Weekends are the best time to visit because that’s when all the stalls open and the street really comes alive. We usually come for the food, mostly snacks, and we never leave hungry. There’s plenty to try, from grilled skewers to sweet treats, all while watching people stroll by.
Sometimes you’ll catch light entertainment too. You might see a traditional game, hear a live band, or spot students putting on a dance show. We wish we could share a proper schedule of what’s on each week, but for now it’s a bit of a surprise. We’ll update you when we know more.
When you’re in Phnom Penh, your evenings might be busy with dinner plans or rooftop bars, but if you have an hour to spare, come wander Walk Street. It’s the perfect place to see how locals spend their evenings, just walking, eating, and enjoying the city.
